~My Forth IS Lesson~
Oh no! CSS! As I said during my previous blog posting, I have no prior knowledge about HTML or CSS. I looked up the w3 website for some information and looked through the slides several times before I even sat down to do the challenge. I had to apply all the knowledge I gained so that I could complete the challenge. Phew... it was indeed tough. Apart from only the challenge, I also found out that CSS was very important and can be extremely convenient when we need to change the style of the entire HTML folder or website. One great problem I faced during the challenge is that I keep forgetting to insert the semi-colons, thus leading to the results not being as expected.
~My Third IS Lesson~
HTML. It stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. Our job was to create a website and include all the stuff we have learnt, such as adding in an image or a hyperlink. This is really a challenge, since I have no prior knowledge concerning this HTML stuff at all. All the knowledge I need to use is newly-gained so I may need more time to complete it. This truly is difficult. This lesson, we are learning about HTML but Mr Cheong said that we will be studying a different thing next week-- CSS.
~My Second IS Lesson~
On our second IS lesson, Mr Cheong talked about humans and computers interacting more and more. Probably in the near future, humans will rely on computers so much that computers may possibly take over us. We also have to look out for copyrighted information or resources on the internet. By the way, our IS homework was to write a comment on the videos we had to watch. I was instructed to watch the one about the advantages and disadvantages of both creating a website and blogging. I weighed the pros and cons and concluded they had different uses and none is better than the other.
~My First IS Lesson~
This is my very first blog of my very first IS lesson. From this lesson, I learnt more about Web 2.0, 1.0 and blogging. We can interact much more with Web 2.0 than with Web 1.0. We can also download things we want from the World Wide Web (www). My IS teacher, Mr Kent Cheong, is a knowledgable teacher indeed. He really brought my knowledge of IS to a whole new level. Here is the end of my first blog posting. I will be looking forward to my next IS lesson.
